Holding A Workshop On Apprenticeships and Its Impact On Enhancing and Improving Livelihoods

Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Alwan Saeed Al-Shaibani, and the Minister of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training Mr. Ghazi Ahmed Ali Mohsen, Al-Khair Foundation for Social Development held a professional apprenticeship workshop and its impact on enhancing and improving livelihoods on Wednesday 11/11/2020 in the hall of Shahran Hotel.
The workshop was held in the presence of the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Ghazi Ahmed Ali Mohsen, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Alwan Saeed Al Shaibani, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Jamal Omar, the General Manager of Al-Khair Foundation; Sadiq Al-Jumai, and the presence of various interested parties interested in apprenticeships from Representatives of international organizations, academic institutions and the private sector. During the workshop, the importance of apprenticeship was shown and the working papers related to it were reviewed by representatives of the concerned parties and discussed to highlight the important role of apprenticeship as a strategic choice in the human resource investment system and its positive effects for the success of individuals as a means of sustainable economic and social development. The workshop concluded with a number of special recommendations, the most important of which is studying the labor market, determining apprenticeship priorities, preparing an implementation mechanism for it, as well as implementing awareness campaigns of its importance and enhancing the role of the private sector.
